How to Customize Your LinkedIn URL to Reflect Your Name

November 23, 2011

Cool Stuff, Tips, Tricks & How-To's

I recently stumbled across a neat little infographic on how to use LinkedIn. To my surprise, I learned that you can customize your profile’s URL. This is a great alternative to the 40 random character link provided to you be default. It’s also a handy way to make it easier for people to find you, or to include your URL on a business card, email signature, etc.

Here’s how to customize your LinkedIn URL:

1. Go to Profile > Edit Profile.
2. In the Public Profile section, click Edit.

3. On the right hand side of the screen, click Customize your public profile URL.

3.  Type in your full name and make sure it’s available.

Voila! Now go forth and network my friends.
